Is Deal or No Deal rigged?
Ans:
Games shows are independently audited and monitored by accounting agencies. There is no cheating going on.
Howie knows that a contestant that “goes on” makes the show that much more entertaining, that’s all. Don’t you want them to go on? I mean, if it was my brother, who is a HS teacher, and he got to $94,000, I’d want him to quit. But if it is some guy I don’t know, I’m entertained by seeing him go for it all and end up with nothing.
from when i watched the show.. the models always looked down and also howie normally just tries to get you to not take the deal. so that the game will last longer and be more thrilling for the audience.. if the contestant took the first deal that the banker made.. then the show would be boring wouldn’t it?
Umm no, it’s not rigged. I watch it every time its on and the models definately look in first (like as they open it). Not all of them, a few just open it.. but if they react before hand its just cos they want to make a facial expression as they are opening it.
Howie is just trying to be a good game show host.
They would get into a lot of trouble if they did rig it, so I don’t think they would risk it. However, I feel it is an exasperating and annoying show, because it’s purely chance as to whether the contestant will do well or not. There’s no skill or intelligence or talent involved.
NO there was a game show scandal in the late 50s where they were caught rigging the game for the more popular contestants to win and they got in big trouble and many federal regulations were passed to prevent it in the future
i think they put the amounts in and then # the cases i think the models look down in the case before they open it all the way
I actually believe that most game shows are rigged. I know that the scandel in the 50’s was supposed to have changed that. But, I think things are rigged for effect.
I think the models’ reactions are edited to make them look dramatic.
I think the show is a great tool for teaching human behavior, statistics, and economics.
a kid could play that game but kids cant be trusted with money
yes… when there is money involved ——guess what????!!!
